Who we are
BELPARTS is an innovative Belgian company that has been developing and manufacturing smart solutions for HVAC and building technology since 1987. From our headquarters in Rotselaar, we work on technologies that make buildings smarter, more energy-efficient and more comfortable. We operate internationally while maintaining the direct communication and personal approach of a small and medium-sized business.
To further expand our technical services, we are looking for an enthusiastic Junior Technical Support Engineer who wants to grow with us.
What will you do?
Do you have a technical mindset, enjoy hands-on work and like helping people? Then this could be the ideal first or next step in your career!
As a Junior Technical Support Engineer, you will be part of our Technical Service Team. You will combine practical service work with technical support, customer contact and administrative follow-up. Around half of your time will be spent working hands-on at customer premises, on project sites or in our own lab. Service visits may take place both in Belgium and abroad.
Experienced colleagues will guide you as you gradually take on more responsibility.
Site visits and hands-on service: around 50%
- Support customers and installers during commissioning by scanning connected devices, carrying out initial tests and configuring parameters.
- Learn to investigate technical faults and carry out on-site repairs with support from experienced colleagues.
- Test and repair returned devices and prepare them for reuse.
- Keep demonstration units and our stock of refurbished devices ready for use.
- Carry out service visits more independently as you gain experience and support day-to-day service operations.
- Help prepare technical product training sessions and, over time, assist in delivering them.
- Travel to customer premises and project sites in Belgium and abroad for service visits.
Technical advice and customer support: around 30%
- Help customers, installers and partners with technical questions, initially focusing on our Energtx range.
- Learn to analyse bills of quantities, tender documents and technical specifications, and translate them into suitable product recommendations.
- Support customers and the sales team in selecting the right products and solutions.
- Work closely with your senior colleague and our Sales and Engineering teams to gradually build your technical knowledge.
Quotations and service follow-up: around 20%
- Prepare quotations for direct replacements, spare parts and repeat orders.
- Follow up on your own technical enquiries and service tickets, ensuring customers receive appropriate and timely support.
- Resolve enquiries independently where possible and involve your senior colleague in more complex issues.
- Maintain clear and accurate records of your cases and completed service visits.
Who are we looking for?
We do not expect you to be a walking technical encyclopaedia. We are looking for curiosity, technical aptitude and, above all, a strong desire to learn!
- You have a technical qualification, preferably in electromechanics, HVAC, electrical engineering, automation or a related field.
- You are a recent graduate or have some initial technical work experience.
- You have a solid technical foundation, enjoy working with your hands and like figuring out how things work.
- You communicate well and enjoy helping customers and colleagues.
- You work accurately and in a structured way, including when handling administrative tasks.
- You take initiative, are comfortable asking questions and enjoy contributing to solutions.
- You speak Dutch fluently and can communicate in English. Knowledge of French is a strong asset. Full bilingual fluency is welcome, but not required.
- You are willing to travel abroad for technical service visits.
- You hold a category B driving licence or are willing to obtain one in the near future.
Experience in HVAC is a plus, but certainly not a requirement. We value your motivation, technical aptitude and willingness to learn just as much.
What can you expect from us?
- A varied technical role with plenty of hands-on work, accounting for around half of your time.
- Guidance from experienced colleagues who will teach you the skills of the trade.
- The opportunity to develop into a versatile technical specialist in HVAC and building technology.
- A rewarding combination of technical challenges, customer contact and practical experience in Belgium and abroad.
- The chance to help shape a growing Technical Service Team.
- An informal working environment with direct communication, where your ideas and initiative are welcome.
- An attractive salary package tailored to your knowledge and experience.
We also offer:
- A company car.
- Meal vouchers and eco vouchers.
- Group insurance and hospitalisation insurance.
- 6 additional days of leave under the working-time reduction scheme (ADV).
- The tools you need to perform your role effectively.
- A high degree of autonomy and ownership.
- An international and technically innovative working environment.
- Friendly colleagues and, of course, enjoyable company events.
